Kal Sisson is a writer and performer living in Los Angeles, who recently graduated from Loyola Marymount University with honors. When the wonderful doctors at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio announced "it's a boy," the baby who came out singing Aretha Franklin songs probably isn't what Kal's parents were expecting. Growing up in the suburbs, watching films and performing in the local theatre were Kal's only escape from the monotony of reality. After watching every film he could get his hands on, The Graduate being his favorite, Kal moved to Los Angeles to chase a dream as an actor and filmmaker with hopes of changing the way the world thinks and behaves, or at least making fun of it.

While in college, he met Niya Wright, and the two quickly became a unique pair of visionary artists and friends, establishing their brand with the web-series Kal and Niya Present. Using his experience as a comedian, Kal has gone on to write numerous works in comedy, including sketches which have been published in the US and UK, and feature screenplays with notable filmmakers - such as Allan Moyle and Andrzej Sekula - which are currently in development. Following work as a writer’s assistant with Marvel Television, Kal currently sets up shop with the famed Unsolved Mysteries team at Cosgrove-Meurer Productions.

Along with his experience as a screenwriter for film and television, Kal also periodically writes an online column, "Identity Crises: And Other Myths of the Absurd," which contains a variety of short works from shorts stories to personal essays. Influenced by some of comedy's greatest satirists - like Mike Nichols, Larry David, Nora Ephron, and Tina Fey - and enraged by some of the world's most staggering social dilemmas, it is Kal's greatest hope to make people think and laugh at the same time.
